The Holy Spirit is the author of this awesome book of Hebrews. We must take heed and pay attention when the Holy Spirit warns us and corrects us. Every Christian should be warned, not just unbelievers. We need to obey the Word of God even as Christians so we don’t go astray from the narrow path.
Notice that he calls them “brethren.” Be sure to encourage and exhort the people of God. Don’t miss any opportunity to lead your fellow brethren closer to Him. Let’s be on guard against unbelief. Is our heart a heart of faith or a pit of evil? We must pull out all the weeds of sinful doubts and unbelief before they grow to maturity. Don’t depart from the living God, for destruction awaits those who do. Stay with the Lord and rely fully on the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Prayer: Help me, Lord, to stay with You. Help me not to have an evil heart of unbelief. Lord, do not let me be like Judas Iscariot. Keep me, Lord. Help me obey the letter to the Hebrews. Holy Spirit, help me to listen to Your voice. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
