Banyu means water.
Wangi means fragrance.
So, Banyuwangi means fragrance water.

But I don't talk about that city history.

If Las Vegas is call sin city, Banyuwangi is called KOTA 1000 DUKUN.

KOTA 1000 DUKUN means city of 1000 shamans. 😁

Get local people if you try to find a shaman for certain purpose. 😊
