Hey there everyone! Quick channel update to kick off the new year. If you haven't seen the video, I've attached it to this post for you to take a gander, but there are a couple of big things I want to address for 2025's vision.

And before I do go into it, I genuinely appreciate the support over this last year. It's been incredible, and you all helped wrap up the end of the year amazingly! I couldn't do this without y'all, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you :)

Now, onto the hard things:

Having a couple of weeks to think about the channel has helped me gain some perspective on my capabilities in creating content. In that time I have come to reality check a few things.

1. I'm awful at keeping a schedule. It's never worked, and the stress of missing a scheduled day due to whatever came up quickly builds up for me, and I don't need that stress in my life lol. It also has a ripple effect on watch time/viewership, which doesn't add to the fun.

2. ESPECIALLY with simulation games, one hour to record is simply insufficient time. In both Prehistoric Kingdom and Planet Coaster 2, every single episode was stressful for me, as I wanted to get as much content pushed in there as possible. The Medusa coaster taking 3 episodes was terrible for my health, despite how much fun I had, since I wanted to provide you all with the best content possible in such a short period of time. These games require multiple hours of straight recording to be successful - or loads of time off-camera to get any progress - and I don't have that time.

3. I don't have the capacity for long series anymore, in just gameplay investment. Almost two full-time jobs, plus family, plus a WIP homestead/farm at our new place means I can't spend the time keeping up with a single series, it's burning me out.


All this to say, I'm stopping all series, including PK and PC2. It sucks, I don't like the decision, but it's best for the channel and, more importantly, my work/life balance, as was hinted in the video.

For 2025, I'm switching back to focusing on reviews, guides, and deep dive overviews into some of my most anticipated games and some 1-2 episode gameplay on preview content or features. This is where I shined back in the day, but I got lazy about scripting and editing. So it's a revival of sorts! I'm excited to no longer be bound by consistent schedules, to create videos on my own time and pace, and to get back to doing video formats that I have a deep passion for creating.

Thank you all again for the support, I know this will disappoint many of you, but I also know that so many of you will understand my position, and choose to still support through and through. I can't wait to see what 2025 has in store, and I hope you're excited too!

Hey folks! I know it's been a hot minute since our last dedicated videos, I'll pick them up again this week. Working for incredible indie publisher Hooded Horse means I get a full two weeks off for Christmas (I've never had more than a couple of days in my entire working career), but that does mean I've had to get some things accomplished leading up to our break, and YouTube is always the first thing to get sacrificed lol.

So look forward to more Planet Coaster 2, Prehistoric Kingdom, and Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic soon!

Hey peeps! No episode today. I recorded one this morning but several things happened (pc freaked out, pathing issues with PC2, etc) that I'm deciding not to release it. It's not a good representation of the park, or of the type of videos I want to create.

The good news is that I now know exactly what I'm going to build, and it'll be hecking better for it!
