Our Sookie also known as Nerf Cat has passed on to the great beyond. He did so peacefully in his family home on the afternoon of October 27th surrounded with the loving care of me, my mom, dad and sister.

Ever since that warm spring day in 2009 when he showed up he has brought joy to our lives every single day as he did for so many of you on the channel too. Little heart of gold but also a fighter who amazed us every time we thought it was over.

After a long fulfilled life of over 17 years he has moved on to a better place. He will be missed dearly. He always wanted to be involved with whatever was going on, he spent countless hours hanging out in the basement as I tinkered on things and all he wanted in return was a few good scratchins behind the ears every so often.

Never seen a cat quite like him, I don't think I ever will again. Fly high my little buddy, you did as much good as any cat could have possibly done for this world ❤️🕊️ ~ Sookie 2008 - 2025

I bought the Cadillac of HO locomotives and it has problems. Manufacturers still think fitting small plastic parts around metal is a good idea after decades of it failing. The all metal driveshaft in my gran’s Rivarossi is still okay after 75 years.

Here is an unusual catch - does anyone know what the yellow Canadian Pacific engine is? I found this in my camera roll from a road trip I took in 2021. I had forgotten about it until looking for footage I needed for an upcoming video.

Got the hills on the side of the mountain layout all patched up. As some might remember the missing center section once had a tunnel which headed to the freight yard. Now line two runs behind it.

It wouldn’t be SMT Mainline without a mainline and parts need to be replaced from time to time. In this case it was 3, 20 year old switches. The new ones are in place, being tested ⚡️
