In the conversation with Devi, Devi asks Shiva why he's always meditating and he says to ensure preservation of the universe and Devi wanted to see what he was talking about she then asked to partake and thus consciousness and Shakti began creation then Devi went on to cry because she was beginning to experience negative emotions like loneliness and sorrow, creation deludes and ensnares you it's constantly stealing your attention and focus then you start identifying with it getting away from your true self that's when all hell breaks loose.

Today is a new moon also known as the dark moon in the left hand path practitioner occult spheres, new moons symbolize new beginnings and beginning of new cycle it also symbolizes the destruction of the old and depletion.
New moon is helpful in destruction of enemies and beginning things anew Sadhana for destroying enemies and removal of obstacles should begin on new moon as this is an auspicious time for that.
