Kumisolo is back with Mon Horizon : a shimmering, bilingual synth-pop anthem bursting with watery electronic sounds and sun-drenched lyrics. A Tokyo-born, Paris-based artist, Kumi Okamoto has spent over a decade developing a sound as distinctive as it is cinematic - making its path into Michel Gondry productions and the first episode of Emily in Paris.
Following her Parisian debut with The Konki Duet, she finally stepped fully into her artistic identity, blending retro-futurism with 60s and 80s pop charm.Described by the press as “a Japanese Françoise Hardy” and likened to Pizzicato Five or Stereolab, Kumisolo sings across languages and cultures, always with humor and style.
Mon Horizon marks the first glimpse of her long-awaited third full-length album, set for release at the end of 2025. This new chapter is set to be radiant, playful, and irresistibly melodic.
