we are officially all moved in to our new house and back to a semi-functional standard of existence lol. I've started digging into Zoella for an upcoming video about the Brit Crew, and I'm curious to know...

would you rather watch:
1. one looooong video about all of the Brit Crew members, relationships, events, where they are now, etc, OR
2. a few reasonably long, more in-depth videos about, say, all of the members, *then* the relationship within the group, *then* the Brit Crew events (just HelloWorld??? lol), almost like a short series?




just asking because I feel like one video could easily be over 2 hours long, and I still wouldn't have covered everything as deeply as I'd like to (you know me hahahaha). I think like the second option would be my ideal personally as a viewer, but I'm keen to hear how you'd prefer to see this approached.

I've gotten lots of encouraging feedback from viewers regarding my 'internet history' content (thank you!), and would like to have another crack at approaching these topics with what I've learnt about myself, my audience, and YouTube over the past few months in mind.

soooo, I was in the shower (where all great ideas are born) earlier, thinking about some video ideas that I'd be super excited to explore, but wouldn't be comfortable posting on YouTube..... and then I remembered that Patreon exists lol.

in my recent video about going "viral", I spoke about the fact that I love to dig into certain topics, but I no longer want reach a wide audience with them. I feel like starting a Patreon could be a good meet-in-the-middle solution for the handful of viewers that both enjoyed my "internet history deep dive" style of content, and would be keen to support the channel.

if you'd be interested in paying $5USD-ish monthly for exclusive access to some extra yap sessions, please let me know! absolutely no hard feelings and no pressure, but I'd be interested in making the content, so I'm just curious to see if anyone at all would be interested in accessing it :))

very curious, especially if you watched my most recent video on Bart Baker - did you get served a ton of ads?

YouTube is really pushing this "automatic ad placement" feature, and it seems like every time I use it, I get a comment that says something along the lines of "girl, how many ads did you put on this video??!" which is a little concerning considering how strongly YouTube is recommending that creators make use of this feature to both increase ad revenue, and to improve viewer experience.

just genuinely interested, because obviously I don't want my audience to have a bad experience on my channel because of disruptive ads, and YouTube chooses when to show an ad to a viewer so I can't judge this from the backend of YouTube alone. all I can tell from the backend is that YouTube is not actually good at deducing where the "pauses" are in a video, because the ad slots all interrupt sentences, and any manual ads that I place in non-interruptive spots get rejected lol.


if you ever feel like you're getting served too many ads on a video, and you don't prefer to be a silent viewer, I'd recommend leaving a comment to let the creator know, because chances are they have no idea!
