National Crafts Museum in New Delhi is one of the largest crafts museums in India. The gallerries inside the museum contains tribal and rural handicrafts, rare and unique textiles and huts from variour parts of india etc. Some of its prized collection include, the 250-300-year-old, Bhoota Collection from Karnataka, rare Kashmiri 300-year-old ‘dushalas’, handkerchiefs from Chamba, known for their unique embroidery, rare brocade and Baluchari saris, Kutch embroidery and much more. Also on display are the famous textiles like Pashmina, Muslin and Madubhani painting.
Humayun’s tomb in Delhi, India, is the garden tomb of Mughal emperor Humayun. First of its kind in Indian subcontinent, it is an excellent example of Mughal architecture that is the culmination of Persian, indo-Islamic and Hindu architectures. The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. Apart from his immediate family members inside the building, the compound also houses graves of about 100 Mughals earning it a nickname - ‘the dormitory of the Mughals’.
