I love my Dream tulips. I don’t think they’re going to get to their full height probably for a variety of reasons, the soil in this bed is straight topsoil, I meant to mix it with some other organic matter, but forgot before I started planting in it. It is very, very heavy and dense once the tulips are done. I’m going to have to dig out half of it and mix with some organic matter. It also had no irrigation so it was not watered all winter, but the tulips still peek out over the edge, and I love sitting on my porch and seeing the beautiful fluffy pink.

Remember I said I planted 2000 tulip bulbs? The first are starting to bloom! These are tight bunches of 25 planted in a spot, so I can harvest now and have more coming up in same area.

When I tell people I have 2000 tulip bulbs to plant they think I’m crazy. But this crate had 300 bulbs and I will say I have about 150 already in the bed and another 150 left in the crate and you can see it’s just a small percentage of my 12 foot bed And it literally takes no time to plant. I think I should get almost 900 in this one bed.
The ones that I am going to put in my landscape will take a little bit longer because I need to protect against squirrels and critters. This raised bed is lined with hardware cloth and then I have a hardware cloth topper to protect until they come up in the spring.

Another new release from Katie, ‘Evergreen’. This one is hauntingly beautiful, we always loved her first song written after Sarah’s good friend Sam passed, this song was inspired by same event (She is still releasing ‘It Wasn’t Supposed to Happen in a few months).

Another new song by my daughter Katie! “Fold” by Katie Campbell. Listen wherever you stream your music! Just like YouTube, the more you stream the more it gets suggested to others. If you listen to Spotify, listen here: spoti.fi/49ZeV4S

I'm going to extend my giveaway on my most recent video through the weekend, since I uploaded the wrong video Saturday (embarassing, it was a 30 second clip of me smiling and turning my head so I could grab a thumbnail photo) and didn't get to re-post until Monday. I want to make sure my weekend viewers get a chance to enter! Enter through March 10, 2024.
