Home Made Documentaries on a variety of topics and themes. These documentaries are all made by one person with very basic equipment and know-how. The topics covered have a general focus on social history and nostalgia.
OUT NOW - The next documentary in my popular 'Wheel of the Year' series! Litha is not a major historical festival like Beltane, and so lots of similar ground is covered here, but it still includes the same feel as the other videos, even finishing with another poem just like Imbolc and Beltane did!
Blessed Beltane! If you haven't already, today would be the perfect time to watch my documentary about this ancient and fascinating festival!
I am going to a Beltane festival on Monday and will be filming part of the next video in this popular series on the Wheel of the Year! Enjoy the day everyone!
Did you know that 'Left Hand Path Documentaries' has a smaller sister channel on YouTube? I made it last year when I was having Copyright problems, as a kind of backup in case something went wrong. Until now though, I have never actually used the sister channel.
However...did you also know that before I made documentaries, I used to make Tarot videos and even created my own tarot divination series out of Cardcaptor Sakura Clow Cards? After much nostalgia about these videos, I have decided to re-upload them to the small sister channel in the exact same form they were first made (ie - much rougher than my more recent documentary content)
These videos are years old but some will surely remember them. So, if you like this kind of thing why not pop over to the sister channel and subscribe? If not then don't worry - NEW content (including the 'Wheel of the Year' is coming soon here on the main channel!)
OUT NOW - Blackpool Fairies! I've wanted to start covering more hidden folklore and unknown tales for ages now, and here is a start to the project. This documentary covers faery sightings along the coast of Blackpool in the 1920s, and briefly examines the history of fairy belief in seaside areas.
New videos ARE coming, but are just a bit delayed due to this being a busy time for me. Check out some of my existing videos and new content will arrive shortly!
Don't forget you can follow Left Hand Path Documentaries over on Instagram, for pictures, behind the scenes clips and upcoming video updates! (See lhpdocs on Instagram or click below)
As for the below picture, it's a cryptic clue for the next video! Hint: it's not about cottingley!
The latest video release is actually an OLD video that has been re-uploaded, the only changes being minor audio tweaks and one copyrighted clip removed. It is therefore slightly rougher in quality than my more recent work, but is still presented in the way it was first made.
So, why no new video instead? Put simply, I am a bit busy at the moment and have little time to do filming schedules, but still want to maintain the channel with 'new' content. If you haven't already seen this - give it a go and let me know what you think!
OUT NOW - Discover the history of the Alton Towers Gardens! This is not actually a theme park documentary, it is all about the Earls of Shrewsbury and their ancestral home, and how they turned a once barren landscape into a beautiful garden.
