I’ve officially completed my goal of uploading at least 5 covers in 3 weeks (Jan 22 – Feb 11) with this dance cover!
It was a simple goal, right? But that’s exactly why I set it that way—to make sure I actually finished it. At the start of this year, I set a goal to upload 10 dance covers in the next 3 weeks but only managed to upload 3. That made me rethink things. Instead of overwhelming myself with big goals and falling short, what if I set easier goals and actually completed them? Wouldn’t that be better?
Not only did I complete my goal this time, but I even exceeded it—I’ll have at least 7 uploads by Feb 11!
Of course, there are some downsides to focusing on quantity—I tend to prioritize hitting numbers over improving my dance quality and video production. But the biggest benefit? Momentum.
For my next goal, I’m aiming for at least 7 covers in the next 3 weeks. Let’s see how it goes!
Why do I wear the same dress in nearly every dance cover?
I’m just starting out and have too many insecurities in my head. So, having a got-to outfit for recording reduces the number of choices I have to make before hitting that record button—helping me build momentum and get going before those insecurities catch up to me. #9/x
While dancing the choreo, I felt like, 'Ahh, I really have a long, long way to go. I’m terrible right now.' I know that’s not entirely true, but it did feel that way. (Just to clarify, the dance itself is super cool—it’s just that my current abilities aren’t enough to make it look as good when I dance it.)
But hey, that’s why it’s called a dance challenge—because it pushes you, tests your limits, and helps you grow!
I honestly didn’t want to post the dance challenge, but I posted it so I can look back later and see how much I’ve actually progressed—and remind myself that no matter what, I can get better (or maybe even realize I wasn’t that terrible after all).
One lesson I’ve learned is that if I try to copy every move in a dance exactly as it is, I’ll fail terribly because my body just can’t execute all the moves the same way. I have to tweak and adapt some of them to fit the way my body moves—just to make them look at least decent, even if I can’t do it perfectly.

It took me 30+ recordings to get this dance done.
While dancing the choreo, I felt like, 'Ahh, I really have a long, long way to go. I’m terrible right now.' I know that’s not entirely true, but it did feel that way. I’d like to dedicate this dance to growth.
