NIFAA, the social, art and cultural based organization came into existence in September, 2000 with the aim to mark a change for betterment and to perform various welfare activities. At the elementary level, it was set up as a non-governmental social organization and it was flagged up as the National Institute of Fine Arts Samiti. This organization was created by a prominent social activist, Mr. Pritpal Singh Pannu. It was soon after renamed as the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists i.e. NIFAA.
