Hi Folks, all packed and ready for an exciting camp this weekend - and after the nightmare of a completely unusable weekends footage last time (the reason for such a long break in content), I’ve pressed my old camera into use so there’ll be a video up-coming.
This camp will be at a unique historical spot dating back to World War One. Lots of history, a period 1914 camp set-up, campfire cooking and plenty of fire-side chit chat.
I am taking part in the Great Tommy Campout - a fundraising event organised by the RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries) to raise money and awareness for homeless veterans here in the UK (of which there is a staggeringly high number!).

Well, after a long and extended break from filming and social media, I finally managed to get out and film a camp!
New video up this evening folks - a relaxing little riverside wild camp, keeping it simple with canvas half shelter, woollen sleeping bag, a warm fire and an Australian combat ration pack. I hope you enjoy!

With unmeasurable sadness and a huge hole in our lives, I’m sorry to tell you all that Maggie has passed away.
She was such a joy to my family and I, a loyal, gentle, caring soul with a huge heart and a massive presence. She was my fluffy four legged bush buddy - calmly protecting me, keeping me warm, sharing my steak, doing the dishes, chasing swans, collecting tinder, leaping out of the canoe, filling my boots with drool, but most importantly being just the best company anyone could ever ask for - we had some amazing adventures together over those short few years we shared.
She will always be in my heart and I will always, always miss her. 💔

Hi folks,
I’m afraid I have had to take down my latest video on water purification. It was brought to my attention that the information on one of the filters in the video was factually incorrect - this was a genuine mistake on my behalf - I have been using this filter (Lifesaver Liberty) for years believing it was effectively removing pesticides and herbicides from my drinking water, however it does not remove soluble contaminants. My conscience could not allow me keep the video live with this misinformation, I will re-edit and get the amended video up as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I do not have a ‘telegram’ account’ and I will never ask you for personal information, or contact you through the comments with reference to a competition. I hope nobody has been caught up in this.

Andy (Kent Survival) and I are in Sweden and Norway on a big canoe trip, just thought I’d share the view from my hammock this morning - bliss!
