Unfortunately I am going to take down the J1407b video because it was based on a misinterpretation of the original paper. Upon further review from other astronomers, it only rules out a specific type of disk, not the entire object itself. It’s my fault for not researching further and it’s not representative of the actual J1407b situation or my channel, so I’ve deleted it
I might make an update video but on one hand I’m tired of this whole situation but this was also my most successful video ever and 150,000 saw it in less than a week so I’m probably obligated to but we’ll see
Hosted a gathering of a bunch of people from my theater group and unfortunately I had to invite The Guy Who Operates The Sound Board (let’s call him Big Guy)
and he SUCKS he is the WORST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET and not a single person likes him (unrelated story he actually used to be a cast member but he called someone a slur and got demoted) and also he’s an extremely large man (hence “big guy”) who does not know personal space
So for half the time I just had one thought: get this guy away from the function as soon as possible
So i hatched a plan: I announced to everyone to please leave by 11:00pm because i have a busy day tomorrow (I have nothing to do tomorrow) and individually told everyone except big guy that I was Lying and to not leave by 11:00 pm (he had infiltrated our group chat so i couldn’t just text people)
and it worked and his ass was gone by 11:15 and these people cheered louder than any cheers i’ve ever heard before and while he was leaving we secretly removed him from the group chat as well
and just to emphasize here how much I didn’t like this guy I also included The Guy Who Operates The Soundboard AND The Girl Who Replaced Big Guy On The Cast (both of which are also unpopular in the group that I did not want at my function, for the purposes of this story are named Gurtmeister and Her Mere Presence respectively) in my plan to gerrymander big guy out of the party
it was like usa and ussr in world war 2 uneasy alliance to defeat a common enemy and it was glorious
Now I had to do this in the first place because as previously mentioned big guy was in our group chat so i couldn’t just tell everyone all at once my evil plan AND big guy is the type of person to not know when to leave and the last thing I wanted was for him to be the last person there and I’d be stuck with him
Unfortunately there were some casualties (Side Character 1 thought I was serious and left) but yeah i feel really good about that
So i have scoliosis and today I was talking about how it got marginally better (like a 20.8 degree curve to a 20.4 or something like that) and someone said “Oh so you’re unscoliating” and that’s now a new word i’m permanently adding to my vocabulary

(not a joke btw i genuinely think it’s one of the best sci fi concepts of the 2010s. The intro is very slow but it’s worth it to get into it)

i love it when planets i thought weren’t that interesting turn out to have one unconfirmed thing that (if true) would make them one of the most interesting exoplanets ever
i’m trying to make a list of my favorite exoplanets for a video and it’s just (this planet is only on the list if this one paper is right) (only if the other two planets in its system actually exist) (only if it’s this mass instead of the other mass)
