Stella Maris Concert Choir
Bound together in our Christian Faith and our love of music, we aim to evangelize through song and provide opportunities for spiritual, physical and financial outreach to others.
An auditioned ensemble based out of Star of the Sea Parish in South Surrey/White Rock, BC. Under the direction of Trudi Stammer, the choir includes Star of the Sea parishioners, members of other parishes and Christian faiths. While eclectic in terms of age and experience we share a common goal; to evangelize through song, performing a primarily sacred choral repertoire, including both traditional and contemporary selections. In addition to the choir's two main performances of the year (a Christmas Concert and a Choral Meditation on the Passion of Christ on Palm Sunday), we also provide music for various Masses, fundraising endeavours, and community events throughout the year. We also take part in International tours and performances, having toured Europe three times.
