Numenta's goal is to understand how the brain works and apply those core principles to today’s machine learning systems. We have developed a theory of how the neocortex works, called the “Thousand Brains Theory of Intelligence.” You can find more information about our theory, our neuroscience and machine learning research, peer-reviewed papers, machine intelligence technology (HTM), and even our daily research code, which we share in an open-source project, on our website numenta.com.
