There are a lot of times where I try to work in my own strength. It's hard for me to ask people for help and sometimes that includes God. But God is my Father. And He wants me to depend on Him. It's the same for you. Whenever we talk to God from our hearts, He will answer those needs. Each day is a new opportunity to depend on God, to see and ask of Him what we will. Let us open up our hearts to the Heavenly Father, who is waiting to hear from us.

If we hope to accomplish anything good, it will be by God's blessing. However, the blessings of the Lord begin with us humbling ourselves, admitting that we need a savior. Let us be quick to be humble and turn from what is wrong. This is an everyday process that allows us to change into the people God want us to be.

It's easy to look to the world for guidance, fulfillment, and peace. But God's Word lets us know that He is a good father. When we trust and believe in Him, we are promised peace and hope. So, let us stop looking to a world that fills us with anxiety, fear, and confusion. Let us seek out peace and hope that comes from God the Father.

Love is not just a warm fuzzy feeling reserved for marriage and the opposite sex. The genuine example of love is found in Jesus Christ. Christ loved us so much that He took action, giving up His life that we could have relationship with the Heavenly Father. Love is an action word. It is giving unselfishly of ourselves to others, not expecting anything in return. We love others because God loved us first. And people will know that we belong to God because of the love we show in the world.

We are to acknowledge God in all that we do. The work that we do should be dedicated to the Lord. That means our jobs, gifts, talents, or whatever else we put our hands to do are means to honor the heavenly Father. We honor God with integrity, honesty, and diligence in the workplace or in the service we provide to others. Even when we work jobs that are not fulfilling, we do it well because God is watching. Commit whatever you do to the Lord and allow Him to work through that situation. God wants us to live a life of prosperity, peace, and abundance. That starts with honoring God in all that we put our hands and hearts to do.

Kindness is something I live by. I want to be known for how kind and loving I was to other people. I feel like kindness to people is something that reflects the heart of God. God's kindness to us is amazing in that He sent His son to die for our sins. How much more should we should the love of God to others through kindness and forgiveness. Don't be quick to seek revenge and to desire the downfall of others. Be loving and kind, just as the heavenly Father is kind to us.

I'm easily discouraged at times, unable to follow through on faith and in God's power. Maybe you are like me. But God says that He is with us and will not abandon us. Even in the time of trouble, uncertainty, fear, anxiety, and fill in the blank, God is always there. We just have to make the effort to trust that God is always with us. It's not about going by our feelings or emotions, but God's Word states that He will not leave us.

So, let us look to the Lord and follow the winning path.
