“While I was touring the US, our preparations for composing the film’s music began much earlier. A couple of years before, my team and I started preparations for the film by visiting Bali with the gracious support of Mani Ratnam ji, who took us there for research and to acquire some musical equipment. We brought these back to India, leading to the creation of numerous tunes. Mani Ratnam ji has an exceptional talent for selecting the most intriguing pieces. His choices are always unique and forward-thinking, perfectly aligning with the screenplay and enhancing the story. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mani Ratnam ji, Lyca Productions, Madras Talkies, Tips Music, and all my dedicated team members who worked tirelessly alongside me, including the musicians, singers, lyricists Ilango Krishnan, Kabilan, Siva Ananth, and Krithika Nelson of PS1.
