Kindly Light was started in December of 2010 by Father Gillen, O.P., and NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate Robert Duncan. Duncan heads production from Rome, and Fr. Gillen serves the Dominican Order by promoting evangelization through media.

Kindly Light now has a small team of filmmakers, dedicated to their faith and producing films that explore and celebrate the drama and the mystery of the human person, including NYU Tisch graduates John Fisher and Joshua Vargas, NYU Gallatin student Weronika Janczuk, and SVA graduate George Goss.

Our creed is very simple. We believe that, insofar as our productions are technical endeavors, they should be competitive with the best of current commercial media. We believe that, insofar as our productions are explorations of the the religious, the supernatural, or the moral, they should be faithful to and custodians of the Truth.
