The story behind how this got printed is more interesting than the entirety of Zeb Wells Spider-Man, so hearing that there was a limited edition hardcover from 2008... I knew I had to track it down.

🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! I know, I haven't uploaded a video yet this year, but I've been working on one the whole time! Maybe everything that can be said about Zeb Wells' Spider-Man has been said, but I'm still gonna bring this one over the finish line, and have enjoyed making it!
.
It may be another week or two until it's uploaded, but it's coming, and I'm already working on the DC Iceberg and Superman by Bendis videos that will follow.
.
Honestly, I've never been happier in making videos than I have in the last year. Sure, a month, maybe two goes by without an upload, but there's a sense of accomplishment when I do upload. Instead of forcing out a video a week, now each video has the focus of 10.
.
There's still a lot to learn. Voice over is like a different world to behind the camera so I've had to learn how to convey tone, pacing, and everything else that comes with it, and I'm still learning. This is a hobby, but some viewing still expect perfection... you've come to the wrong channel! I just wanna be the dude in his room talking about Comics. Work isn't great, life is stressful. Let me have this outlet, quit making it feel like a job to me, and I'll just wanna get better naturally 🙏
.
So keep your eyes on that sub box over the coming weeks, and hopefully this one will be worth the wait! 🐶

🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! When the main response to my X-Men by Bendis video was 'his Superman run is worse', I knew I had to do a deep dive 😅
.
I can't wait until I can review USM, Daredevil, Avengers, and Alias, but these types of videos just perform better 🤷‍♂️ on that front, I know I'm not the most social of creators. The day in day out of YouTube can get to me sometimes, but I love making the videos, improving my scripting, editing and getting more comfortable with these longer voice over videos, but they take time and this is just an escape from work for me. Then somedays you read the comments and it's death threats because you don't like the same book as someone else, or complaining that I need to 'work on my speech impediment' and it just takes the fun out of it.
.
This year, I'm just focusing on the videos. I've never been the most social person anyway, it's more the technical side I enjoy and I want to keep enjoying that. The way I see it, this is a hobby. Death threats from my channel are like if someone heckled me in the gym, just relax, let me do my thing. I'd hate for this to be my job and have to grind out any video just to pay the bills, so let me enjoy it. Respect to those who can do that, but that's not me. There's not a single video in the last year I didn't love making, and I want that to stay even if there is a delay between uploads.
.
So currently, I'm working on the Zeb Wells Spider-Man review, then the DC Iceberg, scripting the MMPR video, and reading this Superman run. All of which just has me so excited for what I can make next 😀
.
When that's the scenario, who needs to read a series that everyone loves? 😅 Be safe, everyone!

🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! I have to be honest, I'm gutted this video hasn't come out yet and had taken so long. But I just wanted to get it right, and finally, if nothing else goes wrong, my TWO PLUS HOUR FULL RETROSPECT ON BENDIS'S X-MEN SHOULD BE LIVE TOMORROW EVENING! 🤯

I can't tell you how much work has gone into this. I even spent a full day on the introduction, only for the self doubt to creep in and be like 'Wait, who will watch this? No one talks about this run, so what's the point?' But finally, the finish line is in sight!
.
Just wanted to apologise for the delay, and say thanks to everyone who has sent supportive messages/comments in the meantime. I'd rather do one video a month that I know I gave 100% to, than churn out daily videos that don't have any heart. The algorithm doesn't seem to favour that, but that's the direction the channel is going in. My scripting, editing, music choice, all of it has been tested with this one. So, if it does finally go live tomorrow, I hope you enjoy it! 🐶

🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! I know this was last week, but honestly I'm still in disbelief. I hoped I could reach 20,000 before my birthday later this month, but the support for the channel lately has been incredible! 🤯
.
Honestly, I still have that fear that it will disappear, I always wait a few days after a milestone in case everyone unsubs en masse 😂
.
But I'm ecstatic this has happened, especially since this last year has been the most crucial for the channel. I adopted a quality over quantity approach, sometimes only getting one video uploaded a month, and fortunately it hasn't hindered the growth of the channel. The Iceberg, Mayhem Expose, Top 5 Notable Works and the X-Men video I'm working on currently have been my favourites in the four years I've been doing this.
.
There's a ton of people to thank for helping me get here. ShadowCat for believing in me from day one, Adam for being there from the early days, JP over at @organicpricedbooks and Kveto over at @comicsbugle for supporting the channel even when I have changed up the videos.
.
This has finally gone back to being a passion project, and not a job and I can't wait for the next year. I've got some huge ideas in the works!
.

🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! Hope everyone is having a good weekend, I've been working hard on my review of Nick Spencer's Spider-Man run, but it's been... Challenging 😂
.
Hopefully it'll be uploaded this week, but already it's over an hour long. The change in approach to reviews was a decision I made a few months back, and I don't regret it. Sure, I can't do as many videos, but a lot more goes into each one and I get to engage with the run I'm reading even more. I'm very unlikely to revisit a series I've reviewed, so why not get everything out in one video, rather than trying to fit a time limit and pretty much saying nothing 🤷
.
My free time has just been dwindling, and probably only going to get less in the coming months, but even if I can only get one video out a month, I just want to know I'm happy with it, so hopefully it shows in the final video :)

🐶🐶 WOOF WOOF! 🐶🐶 Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has checked out the recent video on the biggest s&%t show I've seen in comics that disappeared off the face of the Earth: Tyrese Gibson's MAYHEM!

I spent over a year researching the book in between videos, restructuring the script to include the bingo sheet, interviews, articles, and having the narrative so that it ended with that twist that even caught me off guard!

Hopefully I can continue to do bigger, more researched videos, but they do take time, so if you haven't checked it out already, treat yourself over the weekend, and give it a share wherever possible! It was a bit of a shot in the dark spending so much time on this topic that Image and everyone involved wants everyone to forget! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hopefully the new video will be out either Tuesday or Wednesday this week if there are no issues with copyright and things like that.

Honestly, this one has had my everything put into it. I've been researching the script for over a year now. Recorded over 10 hours of footage. Dug into the deepest parts of the Internet for vlogs, interviews, documentaries etc. All for a comic that fell completely off the face of the planet. I go in hard on this one. No one on the Internet has uncovered what I have in my next video. So please, for my own sanity, it's likely you won't recognise the title of the book I talk about, but please give it a watch 🐶
