It just never ends around here. Was out in the yard and heard some kittens crying. I knew they were there, we feed the mother cat every day and have been watching them since they were about a week old, but I went and looked and they had gotten out through the fence and were running in and out of the street. I had to catch them. Right now, they're about 5-6 weeks. Mama is still back in her nest with another two kittens, but she doesn't respond to these two at all. She is not a good mother, never has been. Her last litter, she brought us her only surviving baby, which we still have. Now we have these two boys and who knows when we'll have to take the other two kittens away, before they run out in the street and get run over.
At least I got these two on moist food almost immediately and they stopped their little hissing and spitting routine as soon as they learned that attention was a good thing. Now, they want it.
Seriously, the job of a sucker is never done.

Yes, we're still suckers. Late last week, my brother-in-law wound up in the hospital and we went down to see him. While there, he said that he'd heard kittens in the master bedroom. He lives in my wife's parents house but ne never goes in there. They've always left a window open except for the winter and their cats go in and out. We went and looked and found two kittens in the closet. There was no sign of the mother and the kittens were both thin so we had no idea if they were abandoned. I'm estimating they're between 3-4 weeks old. Their eyes are open and they have full teeth and can walk. We decided to drag them home and rear them here. They're mostly on milk, but since they got here, they've started to eat moist kitten food mixed with KMR. So now, I have a box with kittens under my death and I feet them about every 4 hours. Yeah, this is how I wanted to spend my days. They're doing fine though, very active and happy and my dogs are taking care of them at night.
At the moment, I think I have another 5 kittens out in the back yard and another feral mother ready to pop. I'm going to be really busy this spring. I'm going to get them taken care of, full shots and new homes because seriously, I don't need any more cats!

Okay, this is all I know at the moment. It looks like the external drive that I had all of the channel information on has taken a powder. It looks like the MFT failed, meaning I no longer have access to anything on the drive. That means all of my scripts, all of my existing videos, all of my graphics, they're just gone. I've been running the drive through a recovery program, but of the data it can recover, it looks like it's none of the stuff that I actually need to make videos. This is a mess.
That said, it won't affect the channel for at least 8 weeks, since that stuff is already uploaded and by then, clearly, I'll be back in business. I've recovered a few things like the video intro and some of the graphics, but some things, including my thumbnails, will have to be constructed from scratch. I'm going to spend this weekend trying to piece things back together. The only thing that might be affected are the Supercuts, although the one for Saturday is already uploaded and will air as normal.
Just thought everyone should know.
