Hello Everyone!
My name is Elizabeth, your friendly neighborhood introvert, and founder and creator of Skein of a Different Color.
My love for crochet had been in it's seedling stage all my life until I was 21 when devastating trauma would drive me to use crochet as part of my recovery. Since then it has grown into a full blown lifestyle, and it's a thrill to bless my husband, kids, and anyone else with my creations.
I started making videos when I realized that if I waited to have the right equipment then I'd never start. (I'm currently filming with my Google Pixel 5)
Since starting my journey 2 years ago as a YouTuber I have watched my channel grow, I've connected with fellow yarn enthusiasts, and I have been blessed with many opportunities to try out different subscription services, yarns, and events.
I chose the verse Proverbs 31:13 not only to let my subscribers know that I am a born again Christian, but to also share my inspiration for my crochet journey.
