If you watched our latest OverDrive episode, you'll know Nile was in the middle of selling his W204 C-Class before tragedy struck. Luckily for him it was a simple fix, some clip had fallen off on the rear axle which caused the issue. Which brings us to the end of our time with this beautiful machine. 3 years, 1 month, and only about 13,000 kms of total driving and the C-Class has gone off to a new home.

Today is the PRN_TestDrive Channel’s 15th anniversary here on YouTube! We first started this channel to support PRN’s original mandate, being Canada’s first podcast network hosting half a dozen weekly shows covering tech, photography, gaming, and social issues. If you go way back you’ll find some of our first video uploads covering various tech stories.

In 2015 Nile started uploading videos on his 2001 BMW 740iL which grew into its own unique feature here on the channel, which launched the TestDrive we know today. Since then we’ve brought on James from our Montreal bureau, and Victor from our Toronto bureau, expanding our automotive coverage extensively since those early E38 videos.

We want to take this moment and thank the 55,000+ subscribers who’ve joined our community, along with the 22 million people who’ve watched our content over these past 15 years. We’re excited for the future of PRN_TestDrive and can’t wait to share it with you!

We're extremely proud to announce that Nile is officially a member of the AJAC - Automobile Journalists Association of Canada. This journey began many years ago in Montréal after he started focusing on new vehicle reviews. 2024 is a big year for this to coincide with as PRN celebrates its 15th year. In that time we've grown our brand with the addition of new co-hosts, access to more OEMs, and expansion of content. All of that hard work has paid off with recognition from the country's professional Auto Journalists Association. The whole team here is looking forward to what 2024 has in store!

We've changed our @ handle on YouTube to @PRNTestDrive to reflect the direction our Channel has moving in for the past decade now. Perpetual Radio Networks no longer represents what we do here on TestDrive, as we're not a radio network. It's super confusing when we explain to manufacturers who we are. I'm sure many have wondered what it stood for as you've watched our content over the years. So here's a new way to think of it:

PRN is the first 3 sequences in an automatic transmission shift pattern, with D coming next. But rather than throwing your car into Drive, we throw it into TestDrive. P-R-N-(Test)Drive. It can be whatever you want it to be, as long as you know we're here to make awesome car content and have fun while doing it.
