I want to inspire you to be able to say more than sim, obrigado and não compreendo. Understand and be understood in Portuguese! I make videos teaching Portuguese based on some of the most influential theories of second language acquisition which is Comprehensible input and TPRS with the occasional grammar lesson to keep you constantly moving forward!
I make original content in Portuguese with English subtitles to help increase and practice your comprehension.

✍️ Writing Exercise - Did you come up with a character (or two) in the last post?
Now we will add some information.
Write where they work and what languages they speak.
For example:
A Maria é enfermeira e trabalha numa clínica. Ela fala português.
O Ricardo é médico. Ele trabalha num hospital e fala português e sueco.
That’s it. No perfection needed.
Portuguese doesn’t need to be “finished” to be real.

✍️ Writing Exercise
This writing task is simple on purpose. Write 2 or 3 short sentences about two people you know, or characters you invent.
For each person, say their name and then their profession.
For example:
A Maria é enfermeira.
O Ricardo é médico.
That’s it. No perfection needed.
Portuguese doesn’t need to be “finished” to be real.
