AVANT_BREEZY is a DIY label that focuses on the eclectic music of CHRIS CANNON, an audio visual artist based in PITTSBURGH, PA, USA. Writing, recording, and performing since the 90s with acts that include the JOHNSONS, SKINKS, RAW BLOW, WEEKEND PANTS, in addition to occasional deputy duty for the MEKONS, Chris has primarily spent the better part of the last decade recording instrumental music in his home studio. Influenced by vintage electronic music, library and soundtrack music, kosmische musik, exotica, world and rare groove, Chris utilizes synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, electric pianos, and an assortment of other instruments to create a wide spectrum of audio oddities. While this channel will primarily focus on his current work and related archives, it will also occasionally feature music from previous groups and collaborators. As with all things in life, this is a work in progress. In the spirit of DIY, let's see where this goes!
