MSc in Psychology + ADHD brain

I’m Evie, nice to meet you!
I have a science degree in psychology and I have 4+ years of coaching experience. I tried to do a PhD but my brain totally rebelled against it. But I succeeded at writing a book! And I'm making videos that aim to be relatable and helpful 💜

✨ I created a course where I ask you questions that I'd ask during coaching. I tried to replace myself :)
You can check it out here: evieran.onlinecoursehost.com/courses/writingtherap…

👥 I’ve also started a Discord community where we can connect and support each other.

Somebody said to me : "You translate psychology into everyday words :)" - that's one of the best things I could read about my content 🥹 🥹 🥹

I dont know who you are (it's a comment on my previous post where I was asking for voting and opinions, and I dont collect data, it's all anonymous) - but THANK YOU for sharing this ❤️

I've always wanted to make relatable content, something that people can actually understand and use, not just watch and wonder "why was this video even created?!" And I dont always succeed because sometimes I act on my impulsive ideas. But whenever I do - those are the moments when it makes all the hours and energy spent here - worth it. And THANK YOU ALL for watching; commenting and supporting me & the channel 💜

Hey Hey! :)

Would you mind helping me out a bit.. I have 1000 ideas and I would like to use the good old voting system to reduce the chaos in my head and guide a bit my creativity .. 🤓 😵‍💫

Could you give me your opinions:

OMG, after so much time (and procrastination 😅), I can finally say it - the book will be out on September 1st!! 🎉

The feeling of making your dreams come true is so freaking unbelievable. It’s hard to even put into words - but it’s exactly the kind of feeling that makes life just a bit more bearable. And I wish that for everyone ❤️

Whatever it is you want - just freaking go for it! Or at least try. Because success isn’t the most important thing - but striving for the things that matter to you? That Matters.

Quick question 😊

In my last video, I plugged in two Shorts into the long-format video:
https://youtu.be/rwwlbIYItQA?si=ihXCI...

Do you think that was a good idea? I thought the change in "environment" might make it more engaging - but maybe it ended up being distracting?

There was an issue with inconsistent volume, I know - but aside from that, was it a good idea? 🤓

📚 Big Book Update!

I can finally say it - my book is officially scheduled for publishing! 🎉

BUT… before it’s available for pre-order, I still need to finalize the cover :)

I had the idea in my head for years - then suddenly, the need to write it just hit. In about 7 months, I wrote 80% of it. Getting the story out of my head felt like such a relief! But then came the boring part ... editing, tweaking, admin stuff, etc. That last 20% took me over two years. I kid you not 🙃

So to those of you who start strong and get stuck at the “finishing” stage - same. You’re not alone. And still, we keep going! It's worth it! Don't even try to finish everything, just the things that matter to you. And if you stay with yourself for a bit, you'd be able to identify what those things are :)

I can’t wait to show you the final version soon! 💜

P.S. no book project will mean more videos again, so that's another good thing 😁 📽️

Question! 🤓
Do you like having ‘Key Takeaways’ at the end of book chapters?

I’m really close to completing my Book Project, but there are still a few details to finaliz - like whether or not to include Key Takeaways at the end of each chapter. So I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💬

I'm working on a video about Burnout and ADHD, and it's getting quite long because I want to cover a lot:

- Why burnout is so common in people with ADHD
- Burnout symptoms in individuals with ADHD
- How ADHD-specific traits contribute to burnout
- Common causes of burnout in ADHD individuals
- Prevalence and severity of burnout in ADHD vs. neurotypical individuals

Should I try to summarize each so that the final video is about 22–25 minutes?
OR should I make 5 separate videos (around 8-10 minutes each), where I can go into more detail?

Let me know what you think! 😊

👋 Let’s Chat 1:1

Hey everyone!

Recently, I decided to reach out to a few people and have short, casual 1:1 calls (30-40 min) via Google Meet - just to connect, chat, and get to know who’s on the other side of the screen. And honestly? It was amazing. It was so fun and exciting that I knew I had to open this up to a few more of you!

One thing that kept coming up in these conversations is that so many of you don’t have many people in your life to talk about ADHD with. The idea of finding a community of like-minded people is something a lot of you really want, and I hear you. I’m slowly trying to build a sense of real connection, and who knows - maybe through all of this, you’ll even make new friends along the way 💜

For now, though, it’s just a casual, 1:1 chat with me - no pressure, just a space to share and connect. If you’d like to have a quick call, email me at contact@evieran.com, and I’ll randomly select 3-4 people to schedule a chat with.

Looking forward to meeting some of you soon! 😊 Let me know in the comments if this sounds like something you’d like to do! 🚀

Unfortunately, there won’t be a new video in February.

I could say it’s because I’m busy with other projects (which is partly true), but honestly, I’ve just been feeling exhausted lately. Even when I sleep longer, I don’t wake up feeling rested. I need to focus on that and fix it before I get back to being consistent on YouTube.

For March, I’ve planned a few short videos on ADHD, burnout, task paralysis, and emotional (dys)regulation ✨

Then in April (finally!) there should be a new long video, and this one is all about WHAT the heck ADHD actually is🍿
Threre is a lot of confusion and misinformation out there, so I want to make it a more educational video. Structuring these topics into a clear 12–15 minute video is tricky (another reason why I've been postponing this video 🙈) but hopefully, the final result will be something you can share with relatives/friends who don’t fully understand ADHD.
It might also help those who’ve been recently diagnosed and are still trying to make sense of the ADHD life.

Thanks for your patience, and see you soon! 😊
