The Tech Train

Has it really been three years that I've been absent. To be honest, it feels like at least 10...

I'm very sorry for the lack of content for so long. I'm not going to go into details, but basically I've had some extremely challenging family issues to deal with that have almost entirely taken up all my time and energy.

As well as being a teacher, I'm also a father - the most wonderful job there is... and occasionally one of the hardest. My emotional energy has been utterly drained over the past three years, and as a result I pretty much had to close off so many things that weren't a top priority, and that included my YouTube channel.

Although things are not anywhere close to be "normal", I have managed to get myself to a position where I feel ready to commit to creating online content once again.

And so this post is my official announcement that The Tech Train is relaunching.

Over the past few weeks I have been very busy planning, creating, recording, and getting ready for a renewed commitment to creating great content week after week.

I have some great new content planned, including new coding tutorials on Python, VBA, Small basic, and JavaScript - and for the first time ever, a new series on coding with BBC Microbits.

I will also be releasing new video tutorial series on creating your own games on both Roblox and Unity!

There will be a ton more classroom resources, tips and tutorials on Microsoft Office and Google Apps... and something that has never been seen in PowerPoint before! A genuine world first!

I'm especially excited about a huge new tutorial series on 3D modelling in Blender, aimed at beginners, schools, students, and would-be game developers, which won't just be passive - it will become a huge community project!

And on the subject of community, I'll shortly be launching a new Discord server that will provide a huge number of resources, and opportunities to connect with others on any of the areas covered on my channel, sharing resources, tips, and advice, getting help and support, and building ever better resources and solutions.

So it may have been quiet here for some time, but I'm back. And it's going to be great!

Here's to Chapter 2.

I hope you'll join me for the next leg of this amazing journey!

And... if you're a subscriber, or someone who's liked one of my videos, or dropped me a comment....

THANK YOU.

Thank you for your loyalty, and for your support. It's meant so much. Genuinely. It's helped tremendously in getting me back on my feet, and so part of my return is to say thank you for your support over the years - I so appreciate every single one of you, every subscriber, 'liker', and commenter.

And so... it begins.
