Cedric Vermue is a Dutch composer and a producer of neo-classical music. His work is stylized by a blend of classical styles and instruments, mostly piano and strings, combined with contemporary electronic elements. Recent interests include various analog synths, organ and Gregorian chant.
Cedric’s debut album, Left Upon Us, was released in 2019 on Piano & Coffee Records.
Perpetua is his newest project, released on the 11th of March 2023 on Mylja Records. This conceptual album brings the listener into a new world of sound, using recomposed Gregorian melodies and religious and choral elements. The album was recorded entirely in a roman-catholic church in Utrecht with various classical musicians. Featuring woodwinds, horn, organ, a female choir and a collaboration with singer Marc Vilajuana.
