I do not need to accept a false apology in order to forgive someone.
I can recognize that an apology is shallow, peripheral, manipulative, or entirely self-serving, and not pretend it's anything better than that— and still forgive them anyway.
Because I do not require an apology at all in order to forgive someone.
My forgiveness isn't about their heart. It's about my heart, Following after Christ's heart.
The wrongs I have done, AND the wrongs done to me. I leave them all at The Cross.
What that someone does with it is between them and Jesus. I cannot force them to accept my forgiveness anymore than I can make their apology real by wishing it were. If they ever do truly repent then we'll meet at the Cross, we'll rejoice, and we'll worship Jesus together. If they don't, I'll mourn for them, but I'll still worship Jesus.
Charlie Kirk always spoke with such compassion and grace. No matter how much someone disagreed with him. No matter how unhinged they got in their interactions. He maintained composure. He stayed reasonable and articulate. I did not always agree with every single thing he said. Frankly, some of it I quite strongly disagreed with him on. But I respected how he said it. His heart was clearly for the good of the people and the glory of God. I felt that, if I ever got to talk to him we'd be able to reason together over these things. In fact, I looked forward to getting to do that one day.
Dearest Father-God watch over Charlie's family and bless them and keep them. His friends, his coworkers, all his loved ones and those who have loved him so much through his content. Hold them tight and let them profoundly experience Your power and comfort. The comfort which only You can provide. And the peace that surpasses understanding.
Once again we ask that your turn this tragedy to Your Glory and the good of all Your people. They (whoever they are) meant it for evil. They do not understand our God is bigger than that. Our God is able to make all things good. All things. And You do. Faithfully. Consistently. Endlessly. Over and over and over again. All throughout history and forevermore.

Charlie is secure in the Father's hands. Those of us who are his brothers and sisters in Christ will one day see him and be able to thank him for his faithful service in this crumbling and temporal world.
The President of the United States has determined to protect his country from illegal immigration and the criminal violence and financial strain that often comes with it.
In response, protestors are waving the flags of the very countries the immigrants have fled from, while committing violent crimes and destroying businesses within their own hometown?
Dear people, what were we going for here? How exactly does this prove scary orange man wrong?
You are literally making it tougher to get them to hear us about things like a reasonable amnesty and a long-overdue overhaul of immigration requirements. If I didn't know that you DON'T represent who all you claim to represent you'd be making me question my own stance on these things.
You have no honor, no culture, no history. You care nothing about this country or any other. You care nothing for the immigrant's hard won history, current plight, or future hope.
Trade in all your flags for sticky name tags which read, "Provocateur", "Opportunist", "Fraud", and "Criminal".
