I'm falling learning the value of slowing down to go faster and further.
For so many years it seemed counterproductive. Anytime my mentors told me
about it, I was being a smart ass (I can be like that sometimes). I didn't understand how doing less, pausing more, taking time to reflect could allow me
to progress towards my goals at a much more rapid rate.
I now see what they were talking about.
Pausing, doing nothing, allows you to mentally take a step back.
Look at what is happening from a different perspective and honestly I've
gained so much clarity from doing that over the past few years and is one of the main reasons why I take a digital detox the first 7 days of every month.
To allow myself the mental space to reflect and honestly be bored.
My most life changing insights have come from pure moments of boredom.
Which is a lost art in today's society.
So I chose to consciously carve out time in my monthly schedule to do just
that.
And not only that it's allow my time to disconnect from social media, content
creation, running the business to fully be more present and reconnect on a deeper level with my wife @ivyteves <3
I've been doing this for over 3 years now and I have zero regret, I actually wish I
would have started earlier but the truth is that I wasn't ready for that lesson.
So if you are seeing it's because I've built an incredible team behind me to
ensure that everything runs smoothly even while I'm in complete digital/dopamine detox.
This is my version of "filling my cup" if you will.
I'm sharing this because for those of you that are interested in living a great life,
it starts with working and leveling up your mindset. And this best way to do that, is to take time to prioritize your health, Internal (Food), external (fitness), mental (Taking digital breaks, meditation, etc...)
I hope this inspires just one person to take action today.
We are well on our way of serving and impacting the lives of 10,000 people by
2033 and 1 million by 2050 through our @fitvegancoaching program.
