As a person with a spine that looks like the Riddler left batman a clue i find deadlifts to be the most difficult as I'm borderline panicking about if my form is correct every single time

My only gripe with squats is due to my long femurs. I have to either take a bit of a wider stance to go deeper while having a straight back or step on something to raise my heels for the same effect Edit: btw, I have really good ankle mobility, so it is not the issue Edit: I'm gonna consider some of your suggestions

Used to hate squats and had tiny legs cause I was always trying to avoid them but after finding a way to do them that I enjoy, they’re one of my favorite exercises now. Finding a way to enjoy squats is the key to building big legs, they’ve blown up ever since

I hate the bench press. I love the ability to lift more weight but there's something about the barbell version that always gives me pain and minor injuries. I do incline dumbell bench press dips push ups and machines. It's kind of weird though because I love using Mike Mentzer's all out balls to the wall screaming shaking fighting all the demons and the devil himself on incline dumbell bench press but nowhere else.

As a person who trains legs twice a week I can happily say bench press is the best for building size especially when u have a previous knee injury

I can’t answer this. It’s like asking to pick your favourite child. Each child is beautiful in its own way and perfect as they are.

I literally injured myself on bench 10min ago, so due to recency bias I know what I'll pick...😑

Bench is by far my favorite, my back always genuinely feels incredible after deadlifting, but squatting has resulted in causing and exacerbating injuries to my spine, knees as well as ankles but has resulted in serious quad, ham, and glute development - definitely have a love hate relationship with it

Never really enjoyed benching which shows in the numbers only a 100kg bench but a 155kg squat and a 185kg deadlift , the best exercise is the one your most passionate about. Deads might be great for me but not for another.

You must not hate any of these. These are all very effective and very good for you to do

I got cerebral palsy inhibiting my ankle flexion, but otherwise was undetectable when I used to lift. I always hated any variation of squatting because everyone would try to correct my form and diagnose my lack of ROM, but they didn’t know my body. I got tired of all the brofessors coming over to “help me” graduate from elevated heels and box squats. I don’t think gym culture is that tedious and social nowadays, but it did make me hate squats. ..I also just hate squats because of the cerebral palsy, too.

I don't know what it is, squats are the only one to leave me in pain and I've always struggled to progress.

I like the numbers on my squat and deadlift more but I like the way bench feels. I am having a crisis
