But healing, real healing, isn’t just physical.
It’s also mental.
It’s nervous system awareness.
And it’s learning which thoughts are worth chasing—and which ones are just bones.

Let me share something that’s been living rent-free in my mind lately:

🦓 The Story of the Lion, the Dog & the Bone

Imagine you have a bone in your hand.
Across from you sits a dog. You wave the bone around—left, right, up, down—and the dog follows every movement. Eyes locked, tail wagging, fully captivated by the bone. You throw it across the room? The dog sprints after it, without hesitation.

Now imagine a lion is sitting across from you.
You wave the same bone. The lion may notice the movement… but it doesn’t react the same way. It sees you. It doesn’t chase. It chooses.

That bone? That’s your thoughts.
Your triggers.
Your patterns.
Your old stories.

Most of us have been trained—by trauma, by stress, by culture—to live like the dog. Reacting. Chasing. Trying to please, trying to prove, trying to stay safe.

But healing?
Healing is becoming the lion.

And lately? I’m learning to stop chasing every thought, every fear, every inner critic.
To pause.
To choose.
To remember: I am not my thoughts—I’m the one watching them.

Whether it’s health anxiety, body shame, fear of not being enough, or the constant pressure to ā€œdo moreā€ā€¦
those are just bones being thrown.

And I’m learning to stop chasing them.

šŸŒ€ Instead, I move gently.
šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø I meditate with compassion.
šŸ’› I rest—even when it feels rebellious.
šŸ“– I read. I learn. I listen to my nervous system.
And I breathe. A lot.
