I think optimal ( for hypertrophy ) approaches are usually time efficient.

stimulating the adaptations I want more efficiently means I earn those gains sooner (since it's a long game anyway) being more efficient overall means I'll be saving more time in the long run feels like the two aren't comparable. but if I'm picking between an extra 30-60min for slightly more more gains each sesh (which compounds over the months) or shortening my routing by 30-60min and missing out on those extra gains then yeah I'd double down on optimality though that's just where I'm at rn with training being a main priority, if I needed that time for something more important then time efficiency would take priority

I am generally in the gym for about 3 hours per day. So, not time efficiency. That's for sure. It feels better to be fully rested for each set

Ok after someone explained... i kinda get it. But its hard to choose a category. I feel like anytime you choose to work out youre using your time effectively and also being efficient in regards to health and wellness gains. 🤔 so as someone mentioned they both kindaaaaaaaa mean the same thing in regards to which benefits the body/health the most. However when I am dialed in, i focus on form, slow reps, managable weight, and long term health. Even if it takes me 2 hrs to feel like my workout is complete, then in my head ive performed optimally given the task at hand. So i choose optimality i guess

I train on my lunch break, so gotta fit the sessions into that. I will optimise within that parameter. I like to use dumbells as much as possible as they're the most efficient to set up when factoring in waiting on stuff since I nearly always find the dumbell I need.

How can it be suboptimal to use your time as efficiently as possible?
