I made a brief segment and have a few voice cameos for a new (and wonderful) video by ‪@PrettyTranslatorSarahMoon‬ about the localization industry and its relationship with (anime) fans. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, but I just think this essay is excellent, and a must-watch for people who frequently consume Japanese content. Can't recommend it highly enough:

"In the west" i assume means in north america? Or does it actually report on the history of anime in LATIN america, which was completely different?
