So, I have these pants. I've worn them since 2021. I bought three pairs to make sure I had backups when they inevitably failed due to regular use.
They're comfortable and look good and can pass for professional but also work well in casual settings. Well, it's almost 2026, and now my last pair finally has a hole in the crotch/booty area, where all my pants end up failing 😛
And now I'm tasked with finding a new "perfect pant" because, sadly, they've been discontinued.
First 2025 took my shoes, then it took my pants 🤪 Good thing cotton shirts are still easy to find!

These two photos are almost exactly 10 years apart. That's 6 more years than would have been afforded to me had I not had access to gender-affirming care. I am so happy to be here, and I love my life. I got to spend time today at a picnic with my kid and spouse, something I would not be here to experience had my access to gender affirming care been denied in 2019. Gender affirming care is essential, life-saving healthcare!

I’m not sponsored by this company (but if they wanted to sponsor me that would be super cool), but I’ve found that the None To Run app has been tremendously useful in getting myself onto a cardio routine and making legitimate improvements on my running ability.

I started using this app in 2023 after not having actually run any legitimate distance since 2013, and saw massive growth. After my injury in late summer of 2023, I had to take a very long break to recover. I’ve been back to using the app since late June of 2025 and it’s been stellar, really.

I plan to talk more about my relationship with cardiovascular health in a later video, but I figure now is as good a time as any to share a tool I’ve found to be beneficial with you all :)

Today is the Transgender Day of Visibility.

Despite U.S. government efforts to erase us from all documents, policies, bathrooms, sports competitions, and military service, we are still here.

I am still here.

It has been made clear to me that the American flag no longer represents me or people like me. Policy either denies or condemns my existence (and voters clearly agree). The DoD has decided my contributions to the intelligence field would not be worth the price of my HRT (and service members clearly agree). The U.S. and its people evidently believe they are better off without us, rendering us invisible as the wind.

Regardless, I will stay here in the U.S. -- I will vote in your elections. I will play on your teams. I will speak loudly in those spaces where policy dictates uniform silence. I will piss and shit in your bathrooms, regardless of gender marker. I will wave my flag on every goddamn street corner. I will write the names of our dead in the places where your eyes cannot help but wander.

I will refuse to kowtow to the siren song of fear and civility.

Under this current administration, we are, all transgender people, reduced to the visibility of the wind. But even the wind, unseeable as it is, can scream. Can wear down mountains, grain by grain. Can bring in storms and knock down trees.

Maybe you'll never see me.

But you'll sure as fuck know I've been here.

Authors who use KDP and other large retailers: USA Blackout Protests may affect your sales on February 28th and March 7-14. During these dates, Americans, Canadians, and other international customer bases will not buy anything unless it is from a local producer/vendor.

THIS IS A GOOD THING.

These actions are meant to push back against the government actions and corporate compliance harming all of us. The United States is rapidly increasing its attack on freedom of speech and expression, and corporations are not only complicit -- they have made deals with Congress and the current administration to screw over the Commoner in favor of the CEO.

They do not care about your individual rights, so long as they can continue to feed you slop, then stockpile money extorted from you. They will gladly crush you like an insect, then sell you a scoop of ice cream for $100 "as a treat." Refuse to be placated.

CENSORSHIP IS ANTITHETICAL TO THE SPIRIT OF CREATIVITY.

Amazon is (rightfully) one of those at the top of the boycott list, which means KDP sales will be impacted.
I URGE YOU TO STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THIS BLACKOUT PROTEST.

Attend a local workshop on bookbinding. Call up your local or regional printing house. Get your author copies now, and set up shop at your local book store where you can shake hands with your audience and make sure local money is getting recycled into the local economy instead of big chains run by greedy tyrants.

Hit them where it hurts, but then go a step further. Use this time to reassess your business model. How sustainable is it, really? How beneficial to you and those around you? How can you work with your local writing community to build something better?

Community resources can be abundant when we work together to supply them for each other and cut out the oligarchs.
