Re-Forged with Fire

Life hits hard. Injuries, stress, depression — the kind of pressure and setbacks that wear you down over years.
Re-Forged with Fire is my way of taking that weight and turning it into something steady… something solid.

I’m Glen — a husband, a father, and a man who’s had to rebuild himself physically and mentally more than once.
Fitness is my structure. Family is my foundation. Cooking is my therapy.
This time, I’m inviting you to take the journey with me as I do it again — one meal, one workout, and one day at a time.

This channel follows two paths of the same journey:

🔥 Re-Forged with Fire — slow, steady cooks on the offset smoker
🔥 Smoke & Fire Fit — high-protein, no-nonsense meal prep on the pellet smoker

🔥 It’s the moments that give you the excuse to win that matter.

If you’re rebuilding… if you’re trying to become a stronger version of yourself — you belong here.

Welcome to the forge, let’s get to work.

Re-Forged with Fire

In my 40 years, I’ve spent 25 committed to physical fitness.

Seventeen of those years were spent doing one of the most grueling jobs a man can do.

Along the way, I’ve been through around ten surgeries. Each one harder to bounce back from than the last as the years stacked up.

I’m coming off surgery right now, and it pains me to admit that this time… I let myself go harder and longer than I ever have before.

It took more time than usual.
More patience than I wanted to give.

But like always, I dug deep and found my excuses to win.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that staying grounded while staying the course in fitness isn’t just about what you eat — it’s about how you prepare it.

Spending my off days outside, hovering around the grills… it just does it for me.

I love the time and effort that goes into it.
The fresh air.
The heat and the cold.
The time outdoors with my family.

I love the reward when everything goes right.
And I even love the cooks that don’t go as planned — because they always teach something.

What I’ve done now is combine my weekly cooks with my meal prep.
I’ve done it this way for a while, and I’ve been more content with it than any other approach.

I’ve done the steamed, baked, slow-cooked chicken, rice, and broccoli longer than most.
Nothing against it — it just isn’t for me anymore.
There was no joy in making it, and no joy in eating it.

Spending most of a Sunday smoking hunks of meat to eat throughout the week probably doesn’t appeal to everyone.

But if it does…

Check out my channel @18Chuck_Roast from time to time and cruise the #SmokeAndFireFitness videos.

I’m not a chef, a pit boss, a fitness influencer or any of that jazz. I’m just a dude that aches all over, loves his family, lifting weights, BBQ and beer.

My shooting and editing skills are still a work in progress — I probably only capture about 15% of the good stuff — but if anything catches your eye, feel free to reach out.

Stay steady under the heat.
Stay strong under the weight.

Let’s light fires and get after it.

Back to work tomorrow.
