I'm an old Smash player by the tag of Omega Tyrant, having been around the community since 2010. On this channel I upload whatever I want, but I predominantly upload gameplay videos of Smash, which mostly consist of AI exploitation videos, challenge runs of the various single player modes, montages, funny/cool/jank moments, and interesting matches I've played. I may also upload videos of other games, though my non-Smash catalog is pitiful currently. None of my videos are commentated, but I'll usually write a description fully explaining stuff in my videos, and I'll usually respond to questions in the comments.

When it comes to competitive Smash, I have competitively played Brawl (where I co-mained Wolf and Dedede with a Snake secondary), Smash 4 (where I mained R.O.B. with a Charizard secondary for fun), and Ultimate (where I solo main R.O.B.). I have been competitively inactive for several years now, but I may compete again some day.

Well it has been a while, I've been busy these past few months, but I will start uploading again soon!

It's probably going to be a couple weeks before I can record any new Smash Ultimate videos, as it turns out my Switch's battery has swollen, so I'm sending it in to Nintendo to replace the battery (as well as get any other needed repairs, such as the backplate on my Switch that has been bent quite badly by said battery). Perhaps I can do a video for another Smash game though in the meantime...

After all these years, I finally got a new, high end computer. There are no immediate plans to do Youtube stuff with it that I couldn't do before, but it's gonna be so much easier to create the current videos I do (especially the long ones, no more rendering for hours and worrying about my computer exploding), while I will now be able to go beyond 1080p videos when the time for it comes (though reading up on it, perhaps I should just start rendering and uploading at 4K anyway, since supposedly Youtube cripples your video's bit rate if it's not uploaded above 1080). Streaming could also be on the table now, still not sure my internet would be able to handle it but it'll no longer be my computer bottlenecking it like in my streaming attempts years ago.

Been a couple weeks since I uploaded anything when I wanted to keep a schedule of at least one upload a week since my return, ran into some busy times lately. Aside from work, I've been helping to beta test the new in-development version of Doom The Roguelike (or DRL as it's officially titled to avoid those pesky trademarks), which has restarted development this year after being dormant for over a decade (which I thought would never happen after it been so long, so pretty exciting to see one of my favorite games come back from the dead and being able to be actively involved with helping shape the new version of it). I promise I won't be going on one of my big hiatuses again anytime soon!

It's official, I got my Youtube partnership back after losing it in December. I have to admit I did seriously consider just giving on my Youtube channel when I first got the notice that I was losing my partnership and my initial return videos were doing little to make up the watch hours needed to keep it. But when looking at old videos of mine and their comments, I got nostalgic over those old Youtube days and kept at it, getting that spark back to enjoy making videos again regardless of monetary potential. And after not too long, my effort has paid off. I'm aware my channel still isn't gonna bring in any serious money in its current state, but if one of the LWBDAN videos go viral again or my channel pops off another way, it will be really nice to not miss out on it. I also very much know Youtube ads are obnoxious for those on devices with no ad block, so in my longer videos I'll be sure that midroll ads are placed appropriately and aren't overabundant (I thought Youtube was taking midroll control away several months ago but apparently not).

Now with monetization secured, I have no more excuses to keep putting off a particular big video I been wanting to do for a while now... It's probably going to take a bit and I have to see if it's even possible but I'll try to get it done within a month.

Some more tier list posting, this time I made tier lists ranking how much I like every map in each of the official classic Doom games (Ultimate Doom, Doom II, TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, and Doom 64), ranked from 0 to 10. It is quite clear which of these games is my favorite standalone Doom game, ha. Also they weren't in the tier makers, but if I were to rate the console exclusive maps, this is where they would go:

*Twilight Descends would be at top of 10 for Ultimate Doom
*Threshold Of Pain would be at top of 9 for Ultimate Doom
*The Mansion would be at the top of 8 for Doom II
*Club Doom would be in 6 for Doom II between Refueling Base and The Crusher
*Console Hell Keep would be near the bottom of 5 for Ultimate Doom between Tower Of Babel and They Will Repent
*The Marshes would be at the bottom of 4 for Ultimate Doom
*Hell Gate would be at the bottom of 3 for Ultimate Doom
*Redemption Denied would be at the bottom of 2 for Doom II

It would be better to make videos of these, perhaps someday making my own ripoff of Dean Of Doom, haha, though I would need to figure out how to handle my inability to provide voiced commentary. Using some AI voice generator is a nogo, would purely text-based commentary be acceptable nowadays as long as it's snappy? Or maybe I just stop being a wuss about my voice and invest in a good microphone when I get more money.

Close to getting my partnership back after losing it in December (where my yearly watch hours fell to around 3000 and I went six months without uploading anything, so Youtube took my partnership away), any push to help get me over the 4000 hours mark by watching or just playing some of my longer videos would be really appreciated! Got a big video planned but I've been wanting to get my monetization back first before doing it.

I don't have much of a platform, but I do want to help spread awareness about the Doom Wiki's plight in being unable to definitively beat Fandom in search results since they defected over ten years ago. I have been an administrator on SmashWiki since 2010, starting back when it was on Wikia (what Fanon was then known as), and went through the experience of defecting to our own independent site and then struggling through the battle to beat Wikia's Smash Bros wiki in the search results. Due to fortunate circumstances, it took us only about a couple years to win that fight, with us eventually trouncing SmashWikia so badly in search results that the Wikia staff let their wiki be renamed to "Smashpedia" in an effort to try standing out from us. Several other wikis however weren't so fortunate, still lagging behind Fandom in search results many years after they defected, which in turn leads to more readers going to the Fandom wikis and Fandom wikis continuing to get more users editing them that don't know any better, stunting the potential growth of the independent wikis owned by their actual communities, with Doom Wiki being a particularly aggravating case that I have followed for over a decade now.

So if you ever search for Doom stuff, be sure to go to the actual Doom wiki, and not the wiki on Fandom, as well as share/post links to the actual Doom Wiki instead of to the Fandom wiki. Aside from just Doom Wiki, in general, avoid Fandom and use independent wikis instead whenever they're available. Not only will you likely get better information on the independent wiki, not have your eyes seared off from the disgustingly gaudy skins used by Fandom wikis, have the information be better presented when it's not squished around to shove in as many ads as possible, and not have your device be throttled by an obscene amount of ads, but you will also be supporting the actual communities behind them instead of a corporate wiki farm that only cares to gouge as much profit as possible off the free volunteer labor of its countless users.

Here is the link to the pictured Twitter thread, so you can read more in detail about Doom Wiki's struggles with Fandom and share it around if you have a Twitter account x.com/doom_txt/status/1796226556248883617

If you want to know more about why Fandom is so awful and you should avoid supporting it, you can ask me, but there's also this excellent video that explains a lot of the awfulness with Fandom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcfuA...

One of the things I most looked forward to when a new Smash came out and when a new character was added in DLC was all the new remixes created for Smash, and Smash's original music is pretty great too. So here is this list I created some time ago ranking my top 100 favorite Smash remixes and Smash original songs (the letter in the parenthesis labels which Smash game the remix/track is from). Feel free to comment what your favorites are, I'm interested to see what everyone else's favorite Smash remixes/original songs are too.

Went and ranked my top 100 favorite pokemon. The ranking is roughly ordered, exact rankings could vary up to about +/-5 spots depending on how I'm feeling on any particular day. Also included an "honorable mention" tier of 30 more pokemon, since there's so many I do like a lot but couldn't fit in the top 100, and also to account for if regional forms and multiple pokemon from the same evo line weren't to be ranked separately.

Since my channel is primarily a Smash-based one, probably would be more appropriate for me to post these sorts of rankings for Smash characters haha, though it would be hard for me to make one since I've barely played most of Ultimate's roster (over 80% of my playtime is just with ROB). Perhaps I could rank how much I like all the Smash stages instead at a later time.
