🎣 Did you know Southern folks used to "charm" catfish outta holes with soap or blood? 🐟🧼🩸

They call it noodlin’, grabblin’, or just plain stupid dependin’ who you ask, but back in the day, some went deeper:

🧼 Irish Spring or lye soap dropped in holes would sometimes irritate catfish just enough to make ‘em swim out, right into your arms.
🩸 Others used cow blood or rotten meat to draw ‘em close, stinkin’ bait for big payback.
🤲 And the brave (or crazy) ones? Just dove in and hoped they weren’t grabbin’ a snapping turtle instead.

Still practiced by some today, but rarely talked about, a dirty, gritty, Southern fish tale passed hand to mouth.

🐾 Some even rolled in deer beds – soak up that forest funk good ‘n deep.
