Jr Holliday’s story is one of culture, rhythm, and resilience. Born to a Cuban immigrant father from Havana and a mother of Mexican and Native American descent, he was raised in the rich cultural melting pot of the Bay Area. His parents, lovers of music and nightlife, would often hit the clubs in the early ’90s, sometimes even sneaking him in as a baby, sliding him under the table while they danced the night away.

Growing up in this diverse environment, Jr Holliday absorbed influences from every corner—blending rock, blues, hip-hop, reggae, and soul into his unique sound. His journey as an artist has led him to work with a range of talents, from global names like Flipsyde, known for their 2006 hit Someday, to Grammy-nominated Latin duo Los Rakas. He has also collaborated with independent heavyweights such as Bay Area legend B-Legit and King Cydal, releasing singles and EPs that showcase his ability to seamlessly weave together genres.
