8 years ago, we welcomed Penelope Xiao Hong and Lincoln Jie Rui into our family and it forever changed our hearts! 😭❤️ It was such a whirlwind of a time, with the whole family plus Gigi & Papa in China for 3 weeks and at one point Penelope was having second thoughts about being adopted. If you followed our family’s story back then, you know what a miracle the whole journey was! Seeing our children playing together and bonding over so many special experiences still brings me to tears. 💞
Yesterday we ordered some authentic Chinese food for dinner and went around the table each sharing our favorite memories from that time. Then we snuggled up on the couch and rewatched their adoption video together. ✨
We are so grateful for the beautiful gift that Penny and Lincoln are to our family and for the privilege of being their parents! Love you more than words Penny & Linky!! 😘🎉💞✨

Happy 10th Birthday to our sweet Lincoln boy!! 🎉🎂🥹🎈
How in the world is he already ten?!?! Our little sunshine boy that fills our days with smiles and warm hugs and is the perfect baby of our family. It’s such a gift to be his mama and daddy and our hearts just about burst with love for the precious soul that he is. 💞
We had a sweet little party yesterday afternoon with family and a couple friends and it was the cutest vintage circus theme (swipe to see the adorable cake 🥹) I also added a few photos from celebrating his 2nd birthday in China while we were adopting him. He had only been with us for a few days, his adoption wasn’t even finalized yet and they are some of the most precious memories for us. (We’re celebrating his and Penny’s adoption day later this month too)
Praying blessings and continued joy over our precious son in this tenth year as we celebrate the gift that he is to our family and so many others who know him! Happy birthday, Lincoln Jie Rui, we love you to the moon and back!! 💞🎂🥳🎁😭

It’s been such a sweet day celebrating her with a lovely Girls’ brunch and then an afternoon of shopping together! Keira wanted to make her own birthday cake (a matcha berry cake) and it turned out so adorable and even better tasting! 🍓🍰
Keira you are such a ray of sunshine in our family. You have such a tender compassionate heart and you’re so beautiful inside and out!
