8 years ago, we welcomed Penelope Xiao Hong and Lincoln Jie Rui into our family and it forever changed our hearts! 😭❤️ It was such a whirlwind of a time, with the whole family plus Gigi & Papa in China for 3 weeks and at one point Penelope was having second thoughts about being adopted. If you followed our family’s story back then, you know what a miracle the whole journey was! Seeing our children playing together and bonding over so many special experiences still brings me to tears. 💞
Yesterday we ordered some authentic Chinese food for dinner and went around the table each sharing our favorite memories from that time. Then we snuggled up on the couch and rewatched their adoption video together. ✨
