The Olneya was born as a band in the last months of 2015 with the intention of playing stoner rock heavily influenced by Kyuss, Karma to Burn, John Garcia, Black Sabbath, 70s psychedelic rock, and other genres such as grunge (Alice in Chains and Soundgarden) alternative metal / prog such as Tool and Porcupine tree.
