I've always been an athlete, but only ever wanted to run as part of the sport that I was playing. I never understood people who would run, just to run. I thought that they must be nuts. Now I am one of those nuts, spending hours pounding the pavement. I started running towards the end of 2019. I more than doubled my miles in 2020. I needed something to get me out of the house and running really helped my mental state in a profound way. I was hooked. I really committed to running in 2021 and have now run many 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon races. I did my first marathon in 2021. I turned 40 in 2022 and ran the NYC marathon for the first time that year. I ran the Chicago Marathon in 2024. I plan to use this channel to share my thoughts on running shoes, gear, nutrition, and training to help myself and others improve on their journey towards being healthy and breaking Personal Records.
