Music serves to give glory to God and to recreate the spirit. no longer, it has to be religious music. When not religious recreates the spirit. Recreate is like happier, have fun, but healthily. Music is to give us pleasure, that's the idea.
The purpose of music in the Church is telling God what we mean, but in a more beautiful way. So the angels sing to God, make music for God. Not only they speak but sing. But why they sing? Look, I have an odd theory, but I explain. When you speak, if you can measure sound waves in a wave machine broken out, they are not regular waves. But when you sing, you make a well-defined sound, then the waves are regular.
