As a Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Barefoot Training Specialist, I emphasize on movement quality and exercise techniques in my workout videos because we want to be able to train pain-free for years to come. My training will be in barefoot because our feet are the foundation of our body. Strong feet leads to strong knees, hips, core, up till the top. Misaligned foot and ankle will affect your posture and lead to potential pain and injuries.

One can wash away dirty feet easily, but pain and injuries caused by tapered toe boxed-shoes are a pain to heal, literally!

It is great to wear a nice pair of heels every now and then if you truly love the design, but do not depend on them to boost your posture or confidence. Chronic usage of damaging footwear is not a good idea.
It is dated to think that us women can only feel confident when we wear high heeled shoes.
Don’t forget that when we reach home, we gotta kick off those stilettos or thick-cushioned tapered sneakers and our feet will be revealed - are they blistered and sore? Do we have back pain, heel pain, hammer toes and bunion? We can’t mask our feet in shoes the whole day. At the end of the day, we got to face the truth.
Build a pair of strong and healthy feet that sets the foundation for a strong body posture. It is always a good time (no matter your foot condition) to embark on a foot healing journey.

Do we really need a 10,000 page research to tell us that being barefoot is healthy and natural? Come on...
For years (in fact since we were kids), many of our parents had shoved our feet inside thick-cushioned, supportive shoes that prevented the natural development of our foot structure.
We were taught and brainwashed by multi-billion shoe companies that our feet need to be supported. Every year they seemed to be offering thicker and thicker shoes with supposedly high-tech solutions for foot problems, but foot problems and joint problems up the kinetic chain remain omnipresent and more common than ever.
Our foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art (Leonardo Da Vinci). They are designed for human locomotion and withstand load, force and pressure. They are built for daily functional activities.
Of course, a pair of deformed and deconditioned feet contributed by modern footwear cannot just magically heal overnight. The good news is, we can improve foot function and reverse many foot pain and issues by putting in the work! Not through a pair of shoes that promised 'comfort' but eventually weaken the feet more.
