Third Place is a local news channel dedicated to strengthening community connection across New York City.

We report on the stories shaping everyday life in NYC and bring that coverage into the real world by hosting participatory events.

Our goal is twofold: create accessible media for New Yorkers to learn about their local community and to create spaces where those interested can get involved in the real world. Combined, we create a new accessible Third Place.

In an era shaped by algorithms and global feeds it is easy to feel more connected to screens than to our own neighborhoods. Third Place exists to rebalance that dynamic, building social infrastructure to translate digital media engagement into connection rooted in the real-world.
