WRHQ 105.3 FM was founded by Jerry Rogers in 1991. Rogers was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame which was one of his many accomplishments during his ownership of the “Q”. Flash forward, the station was then purchased by O.C. Welch III in December of 2023.

After purchasing, Mr. Welch chose Larry Silbermann as the new general manager of the station. Although under new ownership and management, the spirit of the founder, Rogers, remains alive and the foundation remains the same. The “Q” stands behind its mission to provide quality rock music on the airwaves to the coastal empire. Also known as “The Bungalow”, WRHQ is the ONLY locally owned station in Savannah, Georgia. Being a local station, Q105.3 remains devoted to the local community and understands the importance of those local ties.
