"Our greatest ever team was build on players who initially came in on loan"

"The only people we should be pointing fingers at are ourselves."

"It's certainly must not lose"

"My mum recalls a tale of me smelling every one"

"We just had no answer"

"Exactly the kind of target man you need in League Two"

"I knew I wasn't even ready to come on."

"When we're on the front foot, we look like we can beat anyone in the league."

"I don't think many of them would be banging on Darrell Clarke's door this morning"

"Out comes Clint Hill wafting the programme behind him!"

"When it clicks, we're going to give a few teams a good hiding"

"He deserves to be able to work a few players out."

"I should have been watching my child, probably."

"Two sloppy goals to concede. Created chances, weren't clinical enough."

"I think we can get top three."

"It was a great time at be at Tranmere Rovers"

"Showing that we can mix it."

"The ingredients are there to have a real opportunity to look up the table."

"These three meatheads were coming!"

"Balls into the box really caused us issues."

"We look fitter. We look more organised."

"If you lose, the fine doubles! And you never win a contest!"

"His name was being sung from the rafters"

"He will be setting standards and being a leader."

"He's up against the wall getting searched by the police!"

"In simple terms, we've got more ability."

"It's hard to know where to place Tranmere"

"Two players away from a being a very, very good League Two side"

"The Premier League did pull me in!"

"We're putting together, on paper, a decent squad."

"Absolutely chuffed! A local lad!"

"This season is probably the best standard I saw."

"There has been an uplift in quality - it's just how to do we get that more throughout the game"

"Hope it's not a competition we approach lightly."

"We're in a much stronger position than we have been for a long time."

"Sir Stanley Matthews invited me to sit with him for breakfast!"

"I think the system Clarke wants to play really does suit him."

"At the time, we just dared to dream."

"Probably be a solid replacement for him. Interested to see how it turns out"

"We do need to get our finger out and do something"

"The club's missing a bit of a trick."

"He's got pace. He knows where the goal is."

"I don't remember being knocked over in an away end before!"

"That should never have happened. That was mental."

"The right profile that we should be signing"

"He went mental at half-time. We had a right bollocking!"

"Clarke's obviously worked with him and values him."

"It was a £20 fine if you kicked a ball when you weren't properly warmed up!"

"I was a little surprised to hear Clarke say that."

"We don't even try and put a plaster on things"

"I just thought 'this is fantastic'!"

"I don't see that many managers available who have that."

"That was the first time I wanted to come off! I was exhausted!"

"Tranmere should not be talking about being the bottom half of League Two"

"Allocate a lot of resource at the top end of the pitch."

"If the season had carried on, we were not going down."

"Not dissimilar to Micky Mellon in lots of ways...I'm excited by the appointment"

"They're going to have to have a thick skin."

"It must give you some form of education knowing what you're going into."
