Jahmal Davidson is a multi-award-winning sound designer, composer, and live sound engineer whose career reflects both technical mastery and story-driven artistry. Born April 17, 1981, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Davidson brings over two decades of music composition experience and a deep understanding of sonic architecture to the film sound department environment.
In 2024, he earned three Telly Awards for Best Sound Design from the Telly Awards, followed by the 2025 Best Sound Designer honor from the Digital Griffix Film Festival. He was also recognized as Best Sound Design at the St. Augustine Film Festival in 2023—affirming a consistent record of excellence across narrative and branded content.
A graduate of Full Sail University’s MFA Film Production program and recipient of the Advanced Achievement Award, Davidson merges academic rigor with real-world production experience.
