Stingrays Swimming School
Stingrays Sports is a coaching company based in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Founder of the company is Avantha Weerasinha who was a national swimmer, passion for sports made him do his higher studies in Sports. He completed his BSc in Sports Coaching from the University of East London. While he was studying in London he worked as a Swimming Instructor and after completion of his studies he went into becoming a personal trainer. After living in London for closer to a decade he came back to Sri Lanka to start his own sports school.
He started with a swim school and now the company has grown to be the largest swim school in the country with more than 1850 plus children and adults learning weekly how to swim. Our vision is to reduce the number of drowning deaths in the country by teaching people how to swim!
